Vision care benefits are funded in accordance with the policies set out in the Federal Government Non-Insured Health Benefits Vision Care Framework.

What is covered?

• Eye examinations, when they are not insured by the province/territory;
• Eyeglasses that are prescribed by a vision care provider;
• Eyeglass repairs;
• Eye prosthesis (an artificial eye); and
• Other vision care benefits depending on specific medical needs of recipient.”
