Visiting Health Services
Some health services available in communities are provided by organizations outside of the Health and Social Services Authority. These include:
- Eye Team
- Dental Team
- Orthodontics
To Access Treatment Not Available in Aklavik
- A medical referral from a nurse and/ or physician is necessary.
- All referrals are coordinated through Stanton Territorial Health Authority and the GNWT Medical Travel Policy applies.
- The Health Provider will select the most appropriate referral site.
